Fred Ayers

Fred and his wife Ann have been married for over forty-one years. Fred served as senior pastor in Erie, Pennsylvania, for twenty-four years while he and Ann raised their four children. Before pastoring, he used his Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University and worked as a project manager in Philadelphia.

After being called into ministry at age 36 and completing his Master of Ministry degree, Fred began his vocational ministry. Fred is well acquainted with the challenges and rewards of pastoral ministry. Fred is passionate about relational disciple-making and the importance of the local church. He has considerable experience in encouraging and coaching pastors and those in vocational ministry as they navigate difficulties. Fred also has extensive experience in finance, budgeting, retirement planning, and investing. Fred is thankful for Standing Stone Ministry and looks forward to providing safe, confidential care for ministry leaders.

Fred and Ann now reside in Raleigh, NC. He enjoys running, college football, and spending time with his four children and thirteen grandchildren.
