Lisa Chambers

Lisa and her husband Fred have served God in a variety of capacities for over 25 years. Married for an incredible 22 years, Lisa and Fred have served together in New York, West Virginia, Indonesia, New Jersey, Bangladesh and most recently in California. With both Pastoral Ministry and Missionary background, Fred and Lisa are glad to encourage Missionaries and Pastors and their wives to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called them heavenward in Christ (Philippians 3:14)
As a child Lisa struggled with feelings of isolation, depression, suicide, loneliness and rejection. In Christ, Lisa has found the solution to all of her emotional pain. Since being saved in 1985 she has felt called to serve God. The many challenges that Lisa faced as a child of divorce in rural Connecticut have been redeemed as God has built a blend of resilience and grace under fire within her character.

Although serving the Bride of Christ is one of the greatest joys that one can experience, it is not without a cost. Jesus loves His Bride despite the fact that she can be very ugly at times. Through humor, mercy and His grace, Lisa and Fred have endured much for the sake of the Gospel. They are glad to encourage others that they can persevere and see God glorified despite circumstances.

Some of the "Big God Ideas" that feed Lisa's soul are: 1. The Kingdom is upside down (Things won't always make earthly sense.) 2, The battle is real (Keep your armor on.), and 3. God is not finished with any of us until we get to see Him in glory (Keep your head in the game.). Nothing is wasted, God is weaving a beautiful tapestry out of each of the threads in our lives. Most of the time, we just get to see the loose ends. He is the potter let him mold you into His image. (Jeremiah 18). If you are struggling or just need someone to listen, Lisa is happy to walk prayerfully beside you and see God bring victory and beauty out of your ashes.

Fred and Lisa have four children aged 21, 19,17 and 14. Lisa has Masters degrees in both Cross-Cultural Ministry and Nursing Education and is a Registered Nurse with Emergency and ICU experience. She currently blessed to work as a Clinical Educator in a Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center. As with most of God's servants, Lisa would remind you that He uses the weak things of this world, the despised things to shame the wise (1Cor.1:27).
