Sandy Hastings

Sandy has been married to Dave since 1989 and is blessed with six kids and two sweet daughters-in-law. For over 30 years, Dave has been in full-time ministry with Sandy serving alongside him in the local church, (volunteering as time allowed) and now on staff with Standing Stone since 2019.

Sandy has a master's degree in Secondary School Counseling. She worked as a school counselor and Christian counselor in the early years of their marriage. She primarily served the local church in women’s, children’s, parenting and marriage ministries.

As a stay at home, home schooling mom for 25 years, Sandy lived the pastor’s wife life, with all the great and the hard that comes with that. Much of Dave and Sandy’s ministry involved biblically counseling couples through marriage issues, a lot of pre-engagement and premarital classes, parenting classes and some marriage retreats. Sandy has a heart for ministry wives and helping them navigate the “fishbowl” with joy.

Sandy’s years as a pastor's wife were marked with the absence of an older woman to encourage and disciple her. She found most of her encouragement through conferences and books by godly women. This is why Sandy feels so passionately about being here for women in ministry and ministry wives. It is her joy to come alongside other women, and encourage them.
