Vernon Brant

Vernon and his wife Debbie have been serving the Lord in some capacity or another for over 30 years. Starting as Sunday school teachers to first graders way back when and everything in between, they have embraced the journey set before them. However, they have also experienced the struggles associated with vocational ministry and can empathize with pastors and ministry leaders. Vernon will be the first to admit that allowing the isolation associated with ministry, and operating outside of your giftedness can lead to the darkest times in a pastor’s life and that of his family.

While on mission with his church to Argentina in 2012, Vernon experienced a calling from the Lord: “I want you to be a people helper.“ Not knowing what that meant, he went back to school and enrolled at Liberty University at the age of 43. While at Liberty he obtained a BA in Psychology and later graduated with honors with a Masters of Pastoral Counseling and Coaching Cognate. In 2018 he founded 3Strand, Inc., a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit that utilizes coaching, counseling, and chaplaincy strategies to help individuals and organizations become the best versions of themselves. Vernon currently serves as a Counseling Pastor at Iron Horse Fellowship Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. His motto is, “God called me to be a people helper, and last time I checked, pastors are people too.”

Vernon and Debbie have been married 33 years and minister together when the opportunity presents itself. They have been blessed with two grown sons, two grandchildren (praying for another granddaughter) and a little havenesse, named Tebow. In their free time, Vernon and Debbie enjoy riding the Harley and serving with Black Sheep Harley Davidson for Christ, taking the love of Jesus to the motorcycle community.
