Ann Ayers

Ann has been married to her husband Fred for almost 42 years. Though raised in wonderful homes, they both didn't accept Christ as Savior until their late 20's. Both Ann and Fred had secular degrees and were working hard as young parents to provide for their growing family. Following God’s leading, at age 36 Fred attended Bible college where he received his Master of Ministry degree. God then opened a position as Sr. Pastor at a church in Erie, PA. Fred and Ann served there for 24 years and saw the Lord work in great ways but also experienced heartache and pain. They have since relocated to Raleigh, NC where they are active in their local church and closer to some of their children.

Having lived in both the secular and ministry worlds, Ann has a good perspective on the demands of everyday life and balancing ministry with family. She understands the blessings and challenges of being a pastor’s wife, raising a family in the ministry, and dealing with loneliness and discouragement that sometimes only other pastor’s wives understand. When hearing of Standing Stone, Ann was excited that it would give her opportunities to use her experiences in the ministry to help and encourage other ministry women who need a friend and someone who understands and can encourage them. Her desire is to always point them to Jesus the lover of our souls.

Ann is blessed to have four wonderful children and their spouses, and thirteen beautiful grandchildren. Ann enjoys reading, doing puzzles, running, being anywhere outdoors, and being with her family.
