Grant Gunther

Grant grew up in a home where Jesus was there but not really the main focus. However, all that changed in his junior year of high school when his parents brought him to church, and he got connected to the youth group. For the first time, he heard and understood the Gospel, and by the beginning of his senior year, he had chosen to go all in for Jesus. After his freshman year of college, he became a summer intern for his high school youth group, and that began a sixteen-year journey of working in student ministry in southern California (split between middle school and high school students). During these years he graduated from Biola University and Talbot School of Theology. Getting to know and do life with those under his care allowed him to discover a passion for the discipleship aspect of the spiritual journey process. This ignited his desire to equip and establish followers of Jesus, so that they would remain faithful to the Lord throughout their lives. As his time in ministry came to an end, and Grant aimed to discern what the Lord had next for him, God wove together an incredible path that eventually led him to Standing Stone. With his focus now on those currently in ministry, Grant is excited to continue caring for people. In this role, he is most passionate about being able to remind ministry leaders of God's big picture and to help them understand how God has uniquely created them so that they might maximize their potential for the Kingdom.

During his free time, Grant loves eating good food or drinking a delicious cup of coffee. He also enjoys reading, gaming, fantasy football, and going up to the mountains to ski/snowboard. Fall and Winter are his favorite times of the year because football is just that amazing (go Noles, go Raiders!).
