Emily Linge

Emily grew up in Southern Illinois, and attended Physical Therapy school in Evansville, IN. She asked the Lord to use her as a missionary before she had to be an “adult and get a job”. She was thrilled when a door opened to go for the summer of 1992 to Kiev, Ukraine with CRU. While working as a PT, she met her husband Paul, and after their wedding they spent most of the next 12 years learning language and serving as missionaries in Ukraine and Tajikistan. Though they loved serving overseas, multiple pregnancy losses, stressful visa/government issues, and the strain these put on their marriage brought them home to serve at their church. Her husband Paul served in multiple pastoral roles at their church for 16 years. In their tenure on church staff they experienced the tragic death of a fellow pastor, a painful church split, moral failure of fellow staff members, and the loneliness and frustrations of being on staff at a megachurch.

It was after the birth of their 3rd child while back from the mission field, that Emily experienced deep personal freedom and healing from Freedom Prayer. She began leading a Freedom Prayer ministry at their church, and leading trainings. She also widened her PT skills as a Health and Wellness Coach. Emily loves helping others grow in their relationship with the Lord through Bible Study and Freedom Prayer.

Paul and Emily have 2 children in college, and their youngest is in high school. When Emily isn’t dabbling in combining PT and emotional freedom, ministering Freedom Prayer, or feeding her family, she enjoys paddle-boarding, watercolor, hiking, birding, and hanging out as a family.
