Having worn the PW Hat (Pastor's Wife) for the past 40 years, Margie has joyfully served alongside her husband Brad, loving and caring for the needs of others. At the same time, she has firsthand experience in navigating the unique challenges of what it means to wear that PW Hat: misunderstandings, hidden expectations, criticism, broken relationships, and trying to stay personally healthy and strong while managing a family and supporting her husband. Born in Honduras to missionary parents on the field, Margie has also worn the MK Hat (Missionary Kid), growing up as a TCK (Third Culture Kid) and tackling the common issues of identity crisis, loss of friendships and displacement. Through Margie's unique life experiences, God has enabled her to effectively equip and support others in the church family, including areas of children, youth and family ministries.
Through her greatest joys and deepest sorrows - and everything in between - Margie has discovered that, "the JOY of the Lord is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10)". She has a passion to come alongside women, especially the next generation, to help them celebrate their identity and beauty in Christ, showing them how their Faith is Uniquely Nurtured (FUN) in celebrating the Joy of Understanding My Purpose (JUMP)! There's FUN in the JUMP in a relationship with Jesus, and Margie is committed to building safe and caring relationships that help point her sister-friends to loving Jesus with their whole heart and loving others well.
Margie and Brad have been married for 44 years, being richly blessed with 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. They love to travel - especially visiting those grandkids who are now spread out from San Diego to New York City.
