Peace for our Time

a beautiful nature scene with "PEACE" spelled out in rocks

A PERSON OF PEACE

Examples of disunity abound.
We don’t have to look beyond our social media feeds or news outlets to see that division and hostility are running rampant.
Ministries should operate differently, and I’m delighted to say that many do. Standing Stone’s team of 250 shepherds walk alongside thousands of ministry leaders each and every month, many of whom are people of peace, truth, and love, following the example of Jesus as they serve.
When Jesus sent His disciples out to minister, He told them to look for a person of peace in every city (literally a son of peace); ministry would flow from that place (see Luke 10:5-7).
Two of our shepherds who care for ministry leaders in several South America countries recently told us that they began praying for this kind of person of peace to attend their upcoming retreat. Five couples arrived, and our shepherds quickly discovered that five nations were represented. All of the couples grew through the course of the retreat; their lives and ministries were strengthened.
One of the men stepped forward as a true person of peace. He has asked to be trained by our Standing Stone shepherds in guiding other ministry leaders to heath. His current leadership role gives him influence over pastors in six other nations. With this man of peace on board, God’s care for ministry leaders in South America continues to expand. Wow!
Our shepherds prayed for a man of peace, and God provided. I wonder what God might do if we all prayed for men and women of peace to rise up in our churches and nations. I’m eager to see that happen. What about you?

Weekly Encouragement

Revelation 7:9-11 provides a glorious picture of our heavenly home. The apostle John records that, in the presence of God is
“a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…
And they cried out in a loud voice:
‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.'”

With the angels, the people of God eternally proclaim,
“Amen!
Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!’”

It gives me great joy to tell you that Standing Stone shepherds are working with people of peace in the US, Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Doing Kingdom work, we get a small glimpse of that great and glorious day when every tribe and every nation, tribe, people, and tongue will worship God together.

And as a prayer, financial, or ministry partner with us, you get to be part of that.
Thank you!
