Making the most - featured image

If you could use one word to describe our day and age, what would it be? The Apostle Paul used a striking adjective in Ephesians five. He wrote, “Be very careful then how you live. Not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity. Because the days are evil.”

Like Paul, we live in troubled times. The things our families, our nation, our churches and pastor space are often and increasingly evil. We are so grateful that’s not the end of the story, though. We serve a mighty God who will reign victoriously. Before that great day, we’re commanded to live wisely, making the most of every opportunity to further God’s kingdom purposes.

At Standing Stone, we’re making the most of every opportunity to equip, encourage and exhort pastors, missionaries, church workers, and ministry leaders, really, so that they can fulfill their work in God’s great commission this year. Every stat and news source points to the incredible strain that ministry leaders have. Each of our 200 standing stone shepherds are standing in the gap with ministry leaders helping them to navigate and prevent crises.

More than ever, we see how effective the Standing Stone model is. It’s built on trusted non-transactional relationships.

When our shepherds sit down across the table from a ministry leader, there are no charges and no strings attached. Standing Stone ministry exists to lead each of God’s appointed leaders into increasingly healthy ministry work. Our shepherds made the most of the opportunities God has given them to meet with well over 3,000 ministry leaders this year.

As 2022 comes to a close. We’ll be sharing videos, emails, letters with you and giving you a glimpse into what we’ve done this year and inviting you to join us for an even stronger year to come. Please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to make the most of every opportunity to strengthen the Church by caring for its leaders.

Is God tapping you on the shoulder right now to invest your time, talents and treasure to invest into standing stone? I hope so.
